Western Cape Based Instructor specializing in Rider Skills, New Rider and K53 License Testing Training
Motorcycling is logically one of my hobbies. I started riding when I was 10 years old, and have basically been riding since then. My first mode of transport I ever owned was a motorcycle and I only bought my first car 10 years after finishing school. Motocross and enduro riding have always been my first love and I participated in numerous competitions and endeavors.
In 2010 I decided to make it my career. This started with motorcycle journalism, where I became a test rider and reviewer for a few national publications because of my riding, photography and journalism skills. This quickly progressed into off road motorcycle tour guiding, and then into motorcycle training for off road, endure riding and road riding.
I started training in 2011, and after 3 years I bought the company I was chief Instructor for. This has now been my career ever since. My other hobbies include playing the guitar, restorations, video editing, and photography.
Why I love training
I have my own saying: “riding a motorcycle will change your life”. I want others to experience that. Secretly, I always wanted to be a teacher, and being a motorcycle instructor gives me that opportunity.
I found that I have a very good ability to take the inherent knowledge and motorcycle skills I have, and turn it into teaching that people can understand immediately, and feel safe while doing it. I love it when a client gets it right, and the smile on their faces when they do. The more safe and competent riders I can put on the road, the better.
